Okay, so I just a place where I can save all my research on the upcoming wedding, that's why I'm posting it here so I won't forget. Hehe.

Birthday Blog.

Life should begin at 26 - That should be my mantra for this year, and the year after that, and after the after year, and so on - until I can tell myself - I am already Alive.

Another year added to my bag (and bulge) but nothing much has changed. As Manna has said in Reading Lolita in Tehran, "Hardly anything has changed in the nonstop sameness of our everyday life" though I wish I could also say what she had said as her closing... "But somewhere else I have changed".

Change is such an oppresive word. It can bring you hope, but it can weigh you down just as much. (Just like the title to a song in Up's OST - Memories can weigh you down) Wanting change is a great thing, it can actually drive you to what you can become and what you are meant to be. But also wanting it can weigh you down, it can make you crawl back to your safe haven - your batcave. That cave that is oh so comfortable, the one where you already put up great pictures from memory, where you have that favorite chair where you could just sit, relax and stare into nothingness. (BTW, How did we ever get to this point where comfort has become such a bad thing? where feeling comfortable gives you an immediate feeling of guilt, of wrongness, of fear that you maybe falling into the trap of monotonous everyday life?)

Change is like Kris Aquino. I guess that's the best comparison that I could ever give. You either you like her or you don't. There is no in between, there is no "Okay lang naman sya". With change, you either embrace it with open heart, open mind and open arms, or you shun it like a person with a communicable disease that has no cure.

After all what I just said (or typed, in this case) the million dollar question is, do I want change? Do I want to get out of the "nonstop sameness of my everyday life"? or am I comfortable enough to stay? Or maybe, it's not just about being too comfortable, it's also about having this inner fear of the unknown. The fear of what will happen if I embrace this change -- Will I soar great heights and reach my ultimate goal of working in a non-profit organization? Or will this change just move me to another "BPI" world, where I would continue my monotonous life, just with different characters?

I am 26. But just like last year, I am still here, typing my birthday blog and my thoughts on the year that was. Nothing has changed, Nothing remarkable has happened in terms of where I am and where I want to be. It's still the same me. The nagging question now is, Do I still want to be ME?

Yesterday, I finally admitted to myself (and to Jam) that I am stuck.

I mean, I have plans alright, and I have many of them.

But every single day, I complain and I complain, and then that's it. I don't really do anything much about it.

I think I need to move. I need to be proactive.

And admitting that I am stuck is I think my first step into trying to reach my dreams again.

So here's to me moving on.

And here's to my dreams, that refuses to die.

Jam texted me today to confirm the thing that we have been fearing for so long, Macon taking Papay back to their home. I really don't know what to say. I mean, we know this would eventually happen, we can't really stop her cause she is the Mom after all. But I just want her to listen to Jam's side, he is still the Dad, and he was the one who was with Papay for the past 8 years. I just hope that she doesn't forget that fact.

I feel sad, because Jam feels depressed and alone, and I really don't know what to do. I can't just start talking to Macon, because I know it's not my place to do it.

I sure hope that in time, they would eventually make a schedule and a plan that would be for the best of the kid, and for theirs too. It's a new chapter in all of their lives, and I hope that thier decision would really be for the best of the Kid and not just because LOLO said so.
